Lord,

I lay out my heart before you today. It is heavy with worry and confusion…I have a lot of sadness clouding my thoughts.

I’m so sad for what is happening right now in the world. Heaviness of not knowing what the future holds.

My heart aches for the moments of childhood that are being taken away from my girls.

My heart is heavy Lord. I miss church…The fellowship and worshipping together. I miss hearing our praises joining together and rising up into a beautiful sound that reaches your throne.

I miss my friends and family—the hugs, sharing meals and being close with one another.

I’m feeling depressed that there are no summer vacations or big summer plans to look forward to.

I’m thankful too Lord–for the time with my girls and for our health but Lord I am also so very sad and discouraged.

I am taking this heaviness today and laying it at your feet because I know that You are the only one who can lift this heaviness—and I will choose to put on the garment of praise.

I will call on you and praise your name in the midst of my struggle. No one can comfort me the way You can, You are close to the broken hearted.

My hope is in You and nothing else.

Your presence soothes my soul.

You are worthy.

You are Holy.

You are my fortress.

I will cling to you when everything feels overwhelming.

I will trust that You are using this time for good.

I trust that you are drawing hearts closer to You through this time.

I will trust you.

I will sing of your goodness.

I will praise you to lift this spirit of heaviness.

I love you Lord.
