When I see the brokenness of this world, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

When I see the violence and hatred, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

When I see sickness and death, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

When I see people treating other people unkindly, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

When I see children mistreated, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

When I see sadness and depression, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

When I am overwhelmed by all of the heartache going on all around me, I will remind my heart this world is not my home.

I will repeat that often.

I will engrave it on my heart.

I will rejoice in it.I will keep my eyes looking up.

Because of my great Savior, this world is not my home.

I am promised no more pain.

No more tears.

No more death.

That is my reality.

That is my home.

I have the hope of a better day to come, And I will hold on to that promise when this world is breaking my heart.
