When it’s a sunny day and I am outside I find myself lifting my face to the sun. I love to stand there and let the rays warm my skin. I imagine God searching the whole earth and seeing my face looking up at Him. I feel His love beating down on me in those moments. When I first started doing this my girls would ask me what I was doing, but now they know—they giggle to each other …”oh there goes mom praying again.”
I love how God uses our journey of faith to teach our kids, even though I am not doing this for their benefit I know they are learning from it. They are seeing their mom seek out the face of God in every day ordinary moments. They are seeing faith in action. I know without a doubt in moments like this the foundation for generational faith is rising up.
I can almost picture them now as mother’s themselves with their children running around them, and there they are standing with their faces turned up to the sun, letting His presence warm their soul.
For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
